Who would you guys recommend to put some custom scales on a factory buck folder?

I have a friend wanting just that and I just don't have time, and quite frankly, the interest to do it.

If this is something any of you makers wants to take on, paid of course, that's fine too.

I do not want to be the middle man on this so once a recommendation of someone who does good work on something like this is found, I will pass along contact info and bow out.

Yeah, $300 worth of work and it will still be worth ~35 dollars.

Agreed....one of the many reasons I don't want to do it. I've explained that to him but he really wants it done and will pay.

In fairness, it is a more modern liner-lock buck with s30v steel.....not that that makes your statement any less true. :D

John, any idea what materials he’s looking for? If it’s wood, I could do it. I’m not chancing expensive mammoth ivory or anything like that.

Edit: I’ve been woodworking a lot longer than knife making. Seems like a simple project that won’t take too much time.

I'm not sure what materials....you and he would have to discuss that. I might give him a couple choices of people to contact and let him reach out and come to some sort of an agreement.....or not.

Fellows, I am going to move tis to The Exchange - Services Wanted.
