Anyone need a new motor?

I know it is off topic, but I recently bought a 1.5 hp single phase tefc motor for $23 at a garage sale :) It even had a nice pulley with it. Only problem is that it is 3450 rpm.

Keith, 3450 is not a problem.

You just use a larger pulley on the grinder/tool ( or a smaller one on the motor). The ratio is what determines the final speed. A faster motor, geared down to a slower delivered speed, will deliver more torque, and that is a good thing.

Thanks, Stacy. It is just a little bit quick for mounting a disk right on the shaft.
