I came across a pretty big fatwood stump today. I took it home and tore it apart and came up with some pretty good stuff. I've got quite a bit of it and I thought I'd offer it to someone who doesn't have the time or places to go look for it. I've got enough for probably five people to have plenty to try it out. Again, I don't mind finding it and sending it out to five but let's let the folks who haven't tried it or can't find it to take this stuff. First five to post they want some in this thread get it free from me. Post that you'd like some here and then PM me your shipping details. This has all been spoken for this time around. Thanks.

I've never tried natural fat wood. Does it work a lot better than the crap you can buy?

I'll take some if there is some left over. I have never tried fatwood before.

I don't know. I've never tried the stuff you buy.:D This stuff will burn with a ferro rod or open flame. Catches fire in about 1 second when held on an open flame.

Damn - I hope I made it in. I am more than happy to pay shipping. In fact - I would like to buy one of your Custom firesteels if possible!

You're in. You're the last one this time around. I'll send you a PM.

That's it folks. That's all I got for now. Thanks.

It's a bark river woodland special that I rehandled in california buckeye burl. That's my edc of about 4 years and it shows. Still going though.:D

Great choice. I've been partial to mine since I got it in '03. Great knife. Took four months to get mine as they hadn't even started production when I ordered it. They've come a long way since then.

Mine is so old it it has two hollow pins and no lanyard hole.

It's an awesome knife. Yours I think is one year older than mine. Your's might be .180" thick. I bought mine when they went to a lanyard hole and
.170" thick.

Yep. 1st Production run.

Hey thats great! thanks country,

The next time I go down to the sand hills I can fill a whole 6ft (and have!) truck bed within an hour. I'll bring some back and follow your lead.
