So yesterday (Friday), I had some time at work and noticed that several sellers on ebay posted ads for brand new knives right around the same time. A lot of the knives sold quick. I bought 2 items from different sellers who had feedback (one person had 3 stars and the other 32). I e-mailed both of them twice to make sure it was a live person and none have yet to reply. They each already left me positive feedback where one says "Good" and the other says "Good ebayer". No tracking yet and no communication. $90 for a brand new in box benchmade 940 and $100 for a nakamura?

Either I got the deals of the month or this is going to end up in a scam attempt. I know paypal is good at dealing with scams and I used a credit card I know has protection as well. I just want to know if anyone has gone down this route before on ebay. Of course, if it sounds too good to be true then most of the times it is, right?

you bought two fakes lmao don't buy shit from eBay bro, full of fakes.

It is not unusual for the items not to be updated shipped if you purchased on a Friday. The seller is probably waiting for Monday to go to post office. If the seller has 98% better feedback your probably good. I have bought two knives on eBay with great success but I paid their value. unfortunately the Chinese are good at copying production knives which some sell on eBay for profit especially spyderco and benchmade. Either way your covered through EBay if they don't send or there fake. Good luck.

My old grandpa used to say" if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is!" I almost always abide by that credo but got cheap I guess.

I bought an Ontario Rat 1 Folder for a crazy price. I didn't know it was a Chinese knockoff until I called Ontario customer service on a question I had about Teflon shims for the knife. They informed me that it was a fake and they wouldn't have anything to do with the knife. They wouldn't even answer any questions I had about it. They said that since it was a fake it wasn't built the same way that one of theirs was using the same materials and construction technics. I guess I understand their reluctance.

Learned my lesson. I gave it to a friend. Told him it was a fake Chinese knockoff but he didn't care as he just wanted a "beater" Good news is I wasn't out a lot of money.

Not criticizing Bro. I understand as I've been there done that myself.

Brand new 940 for $90 and you think there is a possibility it's real?? Nope.
Could've gotten a real one second hand here for a couple bucks more, and you'd have a warranty that would be honored.
Buying like you did you have no clue what materials they used.
Hope it isn't that bad when it arrives, but I see absolutely no reason to spend $200 on those knives.

If you use eaBay to create shipping labels, eBay instantly informs the buyer that the item has been "shipped." "It's on the way."

There is, in fact no necessary connection in time between shipping label creation and shipping. Lately, the difference between the two is averaging about 18 hours.

eBay knows this is happening and indicates it has no intention of rewriting the software to stop this from happening.

If you contact eBay to ask how a "shipped" item is not yet in the hands of USPS per USPS tracking, they routinely blame the seller for "not shipping promptly." As if the typical seller could ""ship" at 1:00 AM on a Sunday.

Oh, the "shipping" notice is larded with ads for other items.

If its TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE

It no doubt is..
Pay the premium from a respected dealer
Such as ones belonging to BF
And stop trying to save a buck..
