Anyone order from Aramis Knives lately?

I placed an order for Benchmade 810 scales from Aramis Knives on his storefront on eBay on April 21 of this year, and since April 27 the tracking number he provided hasn't updated to show any movement out of Russia. I've asked him for updates a couple of times and each time he assures me that the package will probably start moving soon, but it's been 3 months now with nothing. I know there's a pandemic going on right now, but should I request a refund for this item? Has anyone ordered from him in the last few months and received their order?

Somehow he produced more recent tracking info that showed movement on May 24, but I can't seem to verify that with my number.

Edit: just figured out how to get an update by going to a third party tracking system. Seems like my order is in the US as of two days ago. It's crazy that it took three months to get to the US, but at least it's almost here.

That's how my order from him showed up too but it didn't take as long. Nature of the beast besides how long it took IMHO.

I ordered a set of Grip scales from Igorded on May 11. I’m in the same boat as you. Last update on the Russia post tracking was May 15th. I’ll be interested in when yours arrives as mine is a couple weeks behind yours. As a side note Igor has 100 percent feedback on the auction site with around 700 transactions.

I received my Igorded scales today from Russia. I ordered on May 11. The Russian post tracking
never updated after the 15th of May.

Russian shipping has been terribly slow as of late. I ordered a hank from CKF in March, gave up on it a month ago, and it showed up a few days ago.

Let me tell you, it's not just Russian shipping.
I ordered something from the US over a month ago, and the tracking has never worked. Neither for me or the company I bought from. None of us have any idea where my package, which is handled by USPS, is.

I should have said International. USPS domestic has still been it's usual self in my area for this entire pandemic.

This is also international. Apparently they ship by boat?

I think so. I've heard a lot delivery times for small parcel intl shipping is based on having to wait for a container to fill up before it ships off. I don't know how accurate that is, but it somewhat explains the disparity in shipping times I've had from intl vendors. The hank from CKF I mentioned certainly set the record for wait time from anywhere for me. I can only imagine how much I would have worried if it were a $750 knife. I had completely given up on it, but since it was only ~$20 and I knew the vendor was reputable I didn't even bother following up. Things are crazy right now.

They sure are.. I bought something from Cyprus, and it took about a month as well. Don't know how it got transported tho.
Maybe they are rowing it across the pond.

Good luck with your items man. There is no worse hobby related stress for a knife collector. If the USPS tracking never worked I'd say you have problems though. What does it say when you search the tracking number?

"No package found" or something to that effect. The comfort(?) is that the sender gets the same message.
Yeah, the knife game is hard at the moment. Could be an opportunity to save money, but that's not our style, is it?

That sounds like USPS never even received it and the seller just printed a label. If there was never an origin scan I'd 100% take that up with the seller.

Oh I did. But, they are reputable and fairly well known, and I'm pleased with the correspondance I've had with them. I'm not naming them, because I really don't think it's their fault. But we'll see how it plays out.

Thanks for the heads up. I was just about to order something at fromrussiawithknives.com. Glad I read this. I would have had a nervous breakdown.

I ordered from Aramis on July 5th, he responded the same day, and had the scales shipped by the 9th. Delivered on the 24th of July.

And the fit is perfection!

I ordered some endura scales from him in late march. He had them done and shipped in a week or so. Tracking showed them move through the system in Russia and then radio silence. 30 days and suddenly USPS tracking showed them in customs. They arrived a week after that. He was pretty upfront with the shipping expectations. I've ordered a few times with him in the past and it was about the same. Maybe a little slower with the current BS. I hope your scales arrive soon, he does a really nice job.
