Gettin edgy here, boss. I ....know....it's FAR too soon to panic.

But, other than the order confirmation that I ...saved....(as directed) from the order, I have rec'd nothing from THEM acknowledging the order.

Is this normal practice for them?

Have a pending email and will wait to hear, but I'm pretty used to having a confirmation of an order from everyone else I order from.

Yeh, yeh, it's da Fallkniven U2

Curious. Why the move? Not a "pan" thread. Just a question.

No ugly.

because this is a topic for GB&U thats why its moved..any topic relating to trades, sales either dealer or second party are discussed in this forum..

I, too, have an order with Cummberland... however, as I think I've recently found out... there are TWO cummberland knives, althought their respective names are slightly different... which one did you order from?

Yes please do not confuse:

Cumberland Knives & Cutlery
http://www.cumberlandknives.com/ (VERY spotty reputation at times.)

with:

Cumberland Knife Works
http://www.cumberlandknifeworks.com/ (TOP NOTCH dealer!)

I have ordered from and talked by e-mail many times with Bill Horn of Cumberland Knife Works and he is first rate sales and service.

Oh it's getting better. I ...NOW....notice that NOTHING in their rotten, stinking, lousy, crummy, dilapidated, deceptive site ....shows a PHONE contact number.

I have now sent 2 emails. One to ask for a confirmation and one to ask for either a confirmation or a cancellation.

Must be a "Look for it if you get an order, Joe" kinda knife shop.

Yah, sure....KNIFE SHOP :(

Probly get some good offers from NIGERIA now.

Got to pay ATTENTION.

SH...........

Maybe I missed it. When did you place your order? How long has it been?

Don't panic yet. Although there have been some complaints about his customer service lately, John is definitely one of the good guys. If you read through the threads about Cumberland Knives, you'll see that sometimes the "problem" is the customer, not the store and that when it is John's fault, he makes things right.

Dsvirsky... after searching a few threads on GB&U, the positive responses all claimed John was an okay guy... that's why I bought something from them. I haven't yet recieved it, but I only ordered it last week and don't expect it till next week... So, I'll only stop by this thread again to either give it a thumb's up or down...

Cumberland knives & sociétée cutlery this are not serious
they have to draw on my visa blue and not expedier the knife because it is not any more to manufacture but it is on the site
they onts makes promises of refunding, but they do not do anything
Ca makes 3 months that Ca lasts
I déposeé complaint for fraud these times Ci

I am extremely upset with cumberland knives. I ordered a Benchmade from them and have had no communication at all. I have sent 2 emails in the past week (the last one with a read reciept that indicated the email had been read) with no response. I am now assuming I got ripped off and am considering disputing the credit card charges and file a complaint for fraud against them. Hopefully someone from cumberland knives reads this forum and does the right thing! Definitely will not make another purchase from them and i do not recomend anyone does business with them.
