Anyone order from survivalsheath.com??

I bought the sheath for a BK-7 that needed a new home. The BK-7 was too wide for the sheath.

RAS, you probably need to have a different liner made for the knife or a different kind of sheath which SSS also makes. There is no such thing as one size fits all. It's like buying a jacket off the rack, then saying the sleeves are too short. I'm certain if you'd contacted Humelbaugh the problem would have been resolved. It's usually more productive to talk to the maker before you talk to the world.

You may have noticed that yours is the only complaint in a thread that is otherwise very positive about Survival Sheath System's work.

Jerry,
I did contact SSS, but why should I pay for a new liner for a sheath that still won't fit the knife I bought it for? Maybe if I find another knife that I want to put in it I'll get a kydex liner made, it's nothing that takes a custom shop. As for bringing it up in public, the knife is sold as a one size fits up to 8" and the fact is that a common BK-7 won't fit.

I've purchased other stuff from SSS both before and after purchasing the sheath. I have no problem with them at all, I just can't recommend that sheath.

Good to see you, Jerry. Any knives coming my way soon?

How wide is the badger?

Robert, the Busse Badger is 1 & 5/16th inches from the spine to the blade. I have found that it is too wide for some other similar sheaths (e.g., blackhawk). Will it fit in a Survival Sheath? TIA.

That's just at the edge of the fit, XMP, I'd advise a hand molded liner.

+1 for the customer service at Survival Sheath Systems!! Great service, even with warranty issues. I sent back a chest Radio harness, and got it fixed in a hurry!
