Going to be picking one of these up in the next couple days, and was wondering what those that had one thought of them.

I love my 14" serrated..wish I could get a 18....

You will find that the cut seems to feel "smoother" than with a smaller wheel..at least to me.....

I've got them all from 1/4" to 14" love it. Knowing what I do now I wouldn't be without it.

Sam, I've got a 14" wheel from beaumont, which is non serrated, that i got for hollow grinding, which I assume is what you're getting it for? I haven't used it that much, but its very nice. I had some trouble fitting it to my heavily modded GIB, atleast with 72" belts, due to the layout of the grinder frame, and the desire to get good angle from the tracking wheel to the contact wheel for stable belt tracking, but I think you've got a kmg, and shouldn't have probs with the riser.

Amybody have any approx prices on those contact rubber wheels above 14"? How bad? ;/ 14" wheel has just made me want a bigger one alsom

I saw a post on another forum about making a larger (14") contact wheel from MDF, rubber or cork and a couple of bearings. I built one the first of the year. I have used it sparingly but it seems to work great! It probably cost me $30 or less.

I have a 14 inch wheel and I like it, for small knives people think its flat ground and a dream to work with. My grinder is a kmg and I bought the 14" wheel from Rob Frink.
