Anyone own an Kershaw Ener-g II?

I really like it. It has one of the most comfortable handles of all my knives. The blade has a high hollow grind that makes it an awesome slicer. The flipper works well too.

I have nothing bad to say about mine except the horrid 'griptape' inserts.

Other than that it is a fine knife. :)

I've got one with the black G-10 handle. At first I considered the grey with grip tape, but am glad I went with the G-10.

My NRG-II is one of several Kershaws I rotate through EDC status. Although I like to think of some other models as "favorites" the NRG just finds its way into my pocket more often; great combination of grind, size, weight, ergos, "flipperiness," and lock-up.

The blade shape would remind you of an uber-sodbuster, with a very slight swedge.

Hope this helps.

The old "griptape" was done away with a while back. Kershaw replaced it with a softer Trac-tec inserts in the old style handles.

The one you're looking at (Limited Edition) has G-10 slabs, is very comfortable, and as Flash said, one hell of a great slicer. I also like the high hollow grind. It may take some time to get used to the ENER-G flipper system, but once you get the hang of it, it opens fast and locks up great.

This knife, along with 2 CB Shallots, a MC in Ti/ZDP and a Jason Clark custom are the only knives I keep out for every day use.

I just picked up on from Jay @ Warriors and Wonders. He has them on a blowout @ 39.99. The one I received has the insert in the handle.
It is a load of fun and flips open real easy. Nice size for EDC'ing
