anyone pick up a DDR HTM gunhammer yet?

what knife would it compare to in size? is it alot smaller than a Zt 301??

The ZT 30x has a 1/4 inch longer blade than the HTM Gunhammer. The handle of the Gunhammer is also shorter at 4.5 inches versus the 5 1/4 inches of the ZT 30x.

The HTM Gunhammer has a better blade to handle ratio.

im not convinced its worth the money...dont know if the fit and finish is up to par with knives in its price range. tough use? good lock...youtube has nothing.

It's more or less a DDR that has a bit more CNC machining than DDR's customs. While the parts are machined, the knife is still put together by hand. Youtube has nothing because the knife is relatively new...not even 2 months old IIRC. The price is about as high as I'll go for knives at the moment. Also, if you're comparing it to a ZT 30x, then you're comparing a linerlock (HTM Gunhammer) to a framelock (30x).

I myself prefer linerlocks. It's a look thing for me. The HTM has about the beefiest lock for a liner that I know of, even thicker than the ZT 0350.

I had the DDR Maax Q. F&F was excellent. The 3D G-10 handle was comfortable & blade to handle ratio was decent.

My only issue with the knife, & it had nothing to do with the quality, was that it was tip-down only. To me, tip-down on a flipper just doesn't make sense. Otherwise it was a very good knife.

IIRC, they were $200-220, but this was almost 2 yrs ago.

Yea. That was the first rendition of it. I wish he would have stuck with the g10 handles though for the HTM line. I wonder if I could order one from him but with g10 instead of aluminum.
