Anyone piggyback a folder on their Becker...?

to quote Mr. Cash ''Negatory on the last there Red Rider''

that is a Sodbuster. not a junior, dont care for the size of the juniors, I only carry fullsize folders.

and if u were going by the size comparison with the paracord bracelet in my pic...that aint a bracelet that's a hatband LOL

haha fair enough, I really like the size of the JR for what I use it for. For me when I'm in a situation when I'm looking for something a little larger or more robust I usually have a Becker on me or close by. I do really like the combo of having my Jr and my Becker out in the woods. Covers almost everything I can think of. I have never use the stainless steel version though, so I'm not really sure how it compares to the CV version. I dig the yellow also. I think a Bk14 would look sweet with yellow handles of the same color.

Edit: I was having a little trouble with judging how large it was haha, That is a really nice idea fora hat band! I like that :)

Easy enuff to make, same as a bracelet but with ~80 feet of paracord instead of 10'. Takes a lot longer tho, think it took me about an hour or so of braiding...hard to work with those long strands.

I'd think it'd be hard to go wrong putting a leatherman/SAK, a fire steel and some tender in a pocket on there.... I think I just talked myself into it.lol.
I have a spare Victorinox Swiss Champ needing a purpose anyway...

Then u know its a PITA lol. I been wantin to make a rifle sling...but aint gotround2it

a belt to fit me would have 300' of cord! ;)

Getting a little off topic, but I have made 2 rifle slings, and 2, what I like to call, survival bandoleers out of 550 cord with the Slatt's Rescue Knot

http://www.orionn49.com/slatts_rescue_belt_knot1.htm

It's much faster to tie and, more importantly, easier to get access to the cord should you need it. It's more of a crochet or knit than a knot like your hat band or any proper braid. It unravels like a sweater would *begins humming Weezer*

Back to the knot, it's very fast to tie once you get the technique down. I can do about 100 or more feet of 550 cord done in couple hours if I really bear down on it.

Like what they call finger knitting? My wife knits and showed the kids (and me) like the simplest possible knit pattern using just your fingers, it's how I keep my para cord stored, easy to undo.

I think what you're referring to is commonly called a "daisy chain" AKA chain sinnet. It's a good way to store rope and flat webbing too.

The Slatt's is, in a way, a wider, multiple loop version of this.

folders on me, small fixies on sheaths. usually.

Pffft! "Hatband", says he! Come on back when you weave yourself a full-on paracord hat, Thrillbilly! :p Gotta use at least 1000ft or more...

That would be super-cool, imo...

I think I could get at least 5000ft of 550 paracord or so if I wove m'self some new britches to replace my China-pants...

I've toyed with the idea of piggybacking my leatherman onto my BK2. I was figuring I could zip-tie the leatherman's sheath to the BK2 sheath. I haven't since I carry my leatherman daily and rarely carry my BK2. If I had two leatherman sheaths I'd use the extra on my BK2.

The only knife in the sheath pouch of my Becker BK7 is a Victorinox Huntsman. I switched out the scale screws to stainless slotted screws, and the screwdriver on my SAK fits perfectly.

My large Boker Arbolito Sodbuster won't fit in the pouch (old Camillus style). The small Case yellow sodbuster fits nice, though.

I buy my jeans from Casual Male Big & Tall, and the large Boker is totally concealed in the watch pocket.
