Anyone Pre-order the ZT Hinderer 0566?

I didn't preorder but I'm definitely buying one.

I've owned the 0550, 0551, 0561, and 0350. They've all been sold for one reason or another...

The 0566 seems like the parts I liked best of all 3 styles combined. I'm really, really looking forward to this one.

I figured since it was regular production I would just wait. I'll order from KershawGuy as well. The main knife I'm looking forward to is the 560 composite.

I hope the 3880 comes out soon so I can see if I like Hinderer designs

I feel like I'd get a 0550 first. I don't have any ZT's and from what I hear, the 0550 is a good representation of the ZT tank build. As a poor college student, I haven't been able to warm up to the amount of money this would entail and so, for now, the number of my Zero Tolerances must remain zero... :(

They're big stainless linerlocks instead of a medium titanium framelock, but a nice blem 0200 or 0350 will run you under a bill from Kershawguy. Best way to get your feet wet with ZTs if you're on a budget, I love my 0200 and 0350!

^^This. Get it from Kershawguy and don't look back.

I certainly will. All of the knives that I've bought, though few, have been from him (okay, except for the very first one and a small fixed blade from a new maker). My concern is mostly over the lack of funds coming in to offset those that are waving goodbye. I've been looking and drooling for quite a while, that's for sure.

I was gonna preorder this but ended up pre ordering the thermite and have a Piston on the way.

Didn't pre-order because its production. But I am super excited for this one. does anyone know if they're sticking with a bearing system on it?

No KVT on it. Standard washers, assisted opening. However the blade does have a detent hole so if you remove the torsion bar, it will function as a manual knife.

I'm getting one of these and sending it right to Rival for a carbon fiber scale. :D

I pre-ordered. I also bought some coyote brown G10 that I plan to have made into a scale for it, or I might get a Dremel routing table and try it myself. It would be cool to have a whole series of Hinderer knives all with the same coyote brown scales, although duplicating that cnc pattern on the 561 might not be possible. Carbon fiber looks nice, but not grippy enough for me. Alternatively, I noticed a place that periodically sells textured Titanium. They're not in stock know, but it would be really cool to make a few scales out of that. I figure the 3D printers will be out within about 5 years which will make possible some really cool scale options. It's going to sure change manufacturing, though. Imagine if everyone who has a deskjet had a computerized machine tool setup? Not quite that awesome, but close.

I pre- ordered mine from BladeHQ as soon as it was available to. This will be my first ZT and is just the right price and size for me!
