anyone re-handle a Fallkniven?

Thought I'd swap out the handle on my Fallkniven S1. Anyone have any idea how to get the old one off? I can get it off one way or another, just wondering if anyone has some advice on how to do it without too much hassle or mess.

It's the plastic "thermorun elastomer" handle. Wondering if it could be pounded off intact after removing the rivet? Are they glued on or just molded around the tang?
