anyone read/own dave canterburys book

I have not, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
J/k. I hate paying for magazines because I never read them often times because it is the same old blah blah blah crap that is in every similar magazine. However, I bought a sub to Self Reliance Illustrated magazine to give it a whirl.
One thing Dave has said about his book though is that it isn't the same old crap that is in EVERY survival manual, 80% of which often applies to remote parts of the world one is unlikely to encounter and the other gives a half page diagram on how to make and use a bowdrill, then on to the next topic. Dave says that with the Pathfinder System, he has gone through a lot of that stuff and kept the 20% that are core skills people can actually use and have as a platform for future skills.
On youtube there is a video/audio of Dave doing an interview with Jack at The Survival Podcast where he talks about the book.
