Anyone seen a washer pivot knife converted to any kind of bearing setup?

Don't know if it is possible, I assume the bearing system would be thicker, but could it be done reasonably? I imagine the difficulty would depend on the knife and handle material as some modification to the slabs might be necessary, but it would be awesome. Anybody done this or seen it done?
