Anyone seen the new Scagel Dogwood folder?

Derrick, do you have any pictures of the Dogwood in hand or alongside some other folders that you might be able to post?

OK, so here are some comparision pics of the new Scagel folder, shown with a GEC dogleg and a S&M Heritage Series two blade jack.

Scales are pretty decent, nicely rounded and fit well in the hand. The spring is pretty heavy, about the same as the GEC dogleg. Nice snap, no half-stop per se but there is a small bit at half open where spring perssure does release before the blade continues on. You have to push it past that spot in either direction, it won't snap closed on your finger. Sort of a rounded half half-stop. ATS 34 isn't the latest super steel, but it does take a nice edge. The Bark River convex grind is of course razor sharp. No underblading, rather the blade is a hair high, hardly noticeable though. Note the sunk joint, that and the overall shape of the knife make it disappear in your pocket. If you want a handful of knife thats not too big, this is it.

I have greatly warmed to this one, but nothing like as much as I have towards the Northwoods Indian River Jack - the new one that is - without the scagel hole and made of ATS34 - lovely lovely in amber bone :)

I've been watching the KSF site like a hawk for the Scagel Dogwoods. While I am not real thrilled with the variability (e.g., nail nicks), I think this is a great looking knife. At one point, you had about eight or ten in smooth bone. Just when I was ready to pull the trigger, they all disappeared in a single day. Do you have any idea when you will receive more--specifically, in smooth bone?
