anyone seen this thread

Vids up now. That took way too long. :(

Anyway, nothing fancy. One of those push cuts has to be competition legal. ;)

Great vids but it still won't be enough to convince anyone who already has their mind made up.

Nature of the internet and all that.

I was impressed.

T,
Thanks for your efforts in doing those. It looks like bearcut may have gotten cut off when his mom came home and found him up past his bedtime since he is not logged on right now. Hopefully, tomorrow, he will be able to revisit his thread and view your vids if he is not now grounded. But even if he doesn't, I still think they are very cool. You definitely went beyond the call of duty to demonstrate something to him. Now if we could only get an AK to do a whole phonebook all at once. ;)

Ohhhhh BAN! :D

or

Morimoto's Banned Ruck.

Thanks for the comments. I am sure that he was just trying to stirr things up. But who knows. I had fun playing with the SE anyway. :D

Cool videos thanks for posting. That is plenty sharp for me.

Now push cut a cinder block in half. This will erase all doubts. :D

I thought that the Blade competition was limited to forged blades. I think I read that somewhere.

Yeah, I've seen it. I'm thinking the reason is because Busse doesn't make specialized cutters. They make field knives, meant to, yes, cut and slice, but even more than that to not break so they can keep cutting and slicing even if you do something insane to the blade in an emergency. I know I'd rather have a durable knife with me on the field even if it isn't the best cutter in the multiverse, than a supreme cutter that will snap, crackle and pop if it glances a rock or strikes a hard knot in wood.

That thread was ridiculously long and boring. Why are there so many haters? Why do so many people spend so much time and energy bashing other peoples' interests? The anti-Busse trolls are very tiring, but I have to believe that similar jagoffs exist on the fringes of every subculture. I'm sure there's a Leica camera subforum out there, where a bunch of douchebags swoop in periodically and talk a bunch of ill-informed smack. Or a Ferrari forum, or whatever. Some people just suck and feel the need to share the fact that they suck with other people.

I thought that was what I remembered also, but I can't find any definitive information on the web. The one "official" website talks about the contests but doesn't list the rules. The big names (competitors) are all bangers instead of grinders, if that makes a difference.
