The last sheath I made was for a 311 and it was ambe. And low ride, high ride. IWB and OWB. It works great. The fact that the PS is so straight would help in making a very good leather or kydex ambe sheath.
For Dave, here is what I mean about fully ambi. The knife can be inserted either direction on either side. Vertical on either Right or Left, and/or Horizontal or either Right or Left. Fully Ambi. I haven't honestly seen one in kydex but I'd love to. This idea came from our own Cobalt and named the "Cobalt Reversible" I've done these for several different knives now and it works on almost any style as long as it has a prominent guard. This one is also kydex/fusion. Beauty of leather with the stiffness of kydex, best of both worlds.
Now I hope you understand and wont jump to conclusions again.
Thank you! Cobalt and I developed these back when the AK47 first came out, not sure of the year. But the reversible is nothing new, I didnt invent it.
I tried all my kydex, aside from the liners in the cordura covered sheaths, and none would work both ways. But the cordura is a rather elegant alternative to the problem. My Spec Ops sheaths will fit either way very nicely.
