Anyone still use their kitchen knives?

i got a mora #521 and put it in a kitchen drawer went to take it out one day and my dear wife told me to leave her knife alone!

I have a sixties Case porno.....XXX....set in a block and a Cordon Bleu chef knive, from Brazil, that I use daily.
I take good care of my things since I can't go too nutty getting more.

I admit I do..... I spent the money on them, so why not use them at home.... when camping, whatever is on my neck or hip is fine by me. From the insurance files...

Very nice collection of Shuns. The Ultimate Utility one is so fun to cut with.

I work in a professional kitchen so kitchen knives are a must. At home too, I tend towards a chef's knife. As much prep as I do, a comfortable kitchen knife is a must otherwise I'd never get anything done and probably have some serious joint pain.

Although it'd be funny to whip out my RC-4 one day to clean some meat or something :D

it's funny, for being a knife junkie, my kitchen knives are crap... i use a lot of woods knives in the kitchen...
one of these days. i'll invest some $$$ elsewhere and get some nice kitchen knives...:o

this is probably my most used knife.. in the kitchen and in camp.. it's an ML "deep woods butcher" knife... i have had it for years.. i love it...:D

While I know food prep is important for any knife, and I do try all of my knives out in the kitchen, I prefer much heavier made knives in the woods than in my kitchen. If not then I'd just haul my kitchen set around in my truck :)

Believe it or not, my Forschner butcher knife gets more use than any of my other knives. When I get a custom Nessmuk it will be designed very similar to the butcher knife.
