anyone taken apart an AXIS BM (806, specifically)??

Nope. Still an AXIS lock, but the AXIS bar and springs are not installed at the moment.

BTW, those pics have not been edited in the computer.
 
Interesting discussion. I wonder if you can buy (and for how much) another blade for your BM. For example, should I want a partially serrated blade, or tanto blade, or even a Ritter blade for my Griptilian--could it be purchased alone from BM, or Ritter, and, of course, the price. Might be nice to have such options.

I highly doubt benchmade would sell you the blade alone.
 
I emailed them once about that. They will sell you a new blade if you want, say, serrated vs plain, but it costs almost as much as the knife. They would want you to send it in and have them replace the blade for you.

I guess you could buy extra blades but it's more economical to just buy more knives.
