Im an impatient guy.. anyone know who has PM2's in stock? I want camo with "normal" blade, not the black. Anyone have a used one for sale if I can't find any new ones?? I have the StarTac and edge Pro on its way to me now, but I can't stop obsessing over the Paramilitary 2. I don't know what it is.. just an awesome looking knife.

I wish I new. I have the black one which I love but now I'm craving the camo one also to keep the black one company.

Looked like Bento Box had them yesterday. Amazon has them. But both of these are selling about $30 too high.

I can relate to your dilemma! I couldn't get over them, so I grabbed one from National Knives the other day. Waitinggggg for it to arrive now. I got the last one they had. More will show up if you wait and don't wanna waste $30.

The big river website has them In stock, but they are being sold thru another vendor, which I'm not sure I would trust.

Trust is my dilemma.. Ebay has a very nice "used one" thats at $100 right now but I don't like buying from auction/resale sights.
I'm very new to knives.. the description of the PM2 I'm wanting says it has a compression lock on the spine.. is that the same as a liner lock but on the spine of the knife instead? Dumb question I know..

Not dumb. That's exactly what it is. Liner lock on the spine.

You can find them closer to $100 at other sites. When they have them. I'd trust Amazon myself. It just depends how long you're willing to wait to save a few bucks.

Nope. The compression lock is vastly different than a Liner lock. The lock bar actually fits in an empty space created on the tang. It is a thing of beauty. Has to be my favorite one hand opening/closing knife, even more than an Axis lock.

Wait for one to pop up on the exchange. This happens all the time with the PM2. Oh, and familiraize yourself with the tell tale signs of a fake. They can pop up even from reputable dealers: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1220121-Update-Fake-PM2-at-Cabela-s

If you're not pressed for time, just (pre-)order one at one of the major knife stores. They get them in from time to time and then you'll get it before someone else snags it once they get it in stock.

Also, I just went through 2 rounds of Amazon sending me a used knife as new. Returns aren't that big of a deal. But I was shocked they would just restock a return without checking it better. I couldn't find a thing wrong with one, but it had been opened and handled. The second one had been opened and the clip was scratched. Not cool for a fairly pricey "new" item.

I'm done buying knives from Amazon I think. I'm a sucker for a good deal though.

And this is a situation where you need to watch for a fake. Some times fake knives get mixed in when someone buys a real PM2 and returns it using a fake one. Happens all the time and not just at the river site. See the link I posted above. Every knife enthusiast should get familiar with what to look for in a fake PM2. Also, where you buy matters. The dealers associated with BFC are much less likely to have fake stock. But one still needs to be watchful.

Fakes are everywhere on Amazon, and some of them are shockingly good.
The problem seems to have gotten much worse lately. It seems like Alibaba has infected them or something.
Best to stick with established merchants.

There is a camo PM2 BNIB listed in the exchange right now @ $120
All in....

.....You have to be quick though.
