Anyone Tried One of These?

I have been trying to figure a convenient way to EDC a fire steel. This dingus seemed convenient to always have some form of back up to my zippo.
Now I have it on my LM Wave it's too late but has anyone used or bought one or did I just by a gadget that won't work?

I haven't tried mine, but I have one on one of my knives. If it is a ferrocerium rod, which it looks like it is, it should work fine. If you decide to get another one, you might want to consider getting it from The Lanyard Zone. His work is good and his price on that particular item is very good.

Man that looks clever but you could make one for a fraction of that and at the same time improve your rope/knot-tying skills. I think ebay has plain ol ferrocium rods without handles; someone mentioned something like that awhile back.

I agree - A ferro stick that size is 99 cents and the fob knot is VERY simple.
