I'm looking for my first few throwing knives. I want to keep it pretty cheap, around 20 a knife give or take. But recommend whatever you have liked regardless, I know that paying for quality is worth it.. So far, a friend who has thrown many knives said the cold steel true balance knives would be the best bet. But I know Condor gets a lot of positive talk on the forums for their large blades and axes, so I though the thrower might be a good knife. Just want something good to learn on, that won't break or go to dull to stick every few throws. thanks for the help, now finding as much info here on throwers here as I do on.. say.. Spydies;)

Perfect balance, pro balance, sure balance would all be recommended above the true balance.

If it is going to be a dedicated thrower, get a heavier, longer model. The True Balance will loose the cord wrap after a while.

The CS models will all hold up well in my experience. The GI tanto too (though it is not as long and heavy as I prefer for throwing).
