Anyone use CNC software to make knifes

I'm asking because I don't know. Does anyone machine (i.e. us a miller, etc) to make knifes? I could make pretty intricate one time designs and cut them on our equipment. I would expect that I would still have to heat treat and sharpen the knifes afterwards though. I am not talking about selling them but making a custom knife for myself.

Just curious if anyone does this?

Yeah, I have some in the works...Using Solidworks to do the Design and Blanking work..I was also planning on doing 3D milling instead of grinding all that Hollow grind in, hee hee..;)

I will also shape the handles this same way...
