Anyone use limited editions for everyday use ?

Yes. Limited editions generally seem to have better fit and finish. They also sometimes have the premium steels. They also look nice.
The canoe has 154CM for the spear point blade, S30V for the razor.
S30V on the BCCI paperstone 110 drop point.
The others are 420HC.

Would a 50th Anniversary 110 count as a. "limited edition"? Plain, no blade etchings or anything, just the shield in the cover, and the anvil with "50" in it, for the tang stamp.
If it counts, then my answer is "yes". If it don't count, then my answer is "I don't own a limited edition."

Wolf, what happened to your paperstone 110 drop point that caused it to get ground down like that? DM

That one had a lot of heavy use. In the end I wanted a narrower angle, to see if the S30V could handle a thin edge like a razor. I don't do that with all my knives. It held up even with a very thin edge. Oh, to answer your question, I was on an outing in the woods and forgot my razor. I had the shave cream and brush, just not a razor, so it began a new life. It worked in a pinch, though I can't say it worked well. It is very sharp, still.

Ok, excuse me.
I tried shaving with one of Buck's drop points as well. I used the skinning blade from the early Selectors. I didn't thin it down just took it to 2K grit as it was.
At best it worked OK. Not a close shave but removed the 5 o'clock shadow. This blade was 425M steel. The blade that worked better was the last of the 425M Selector clip blades. These were ground thin and this worked better. Still, not as good as carrying a cheap plastic BIC razor along. DM

Is this an idea for Buck? A two-bladed version of the 110. The standard 110 blade and a razor???

Same here. My knife was like your knife.

My husband uses my former Buck 110 (50th Anniversary Edition.) and my former '55'. We have two 110s and two 55s. I only use fb knives due to my hand issues.

I would use any BUCK plain or fancy knife that I owned or I would not own it. And that goes for any Buck #113 knife too. I only own one of them and it is in the standard version but I have looked at some very PRETTY other versions of it too. :) That BUCK KNIFE is my favorite every single day carry knife!

I almost used this 805SS S30V limited edition signed. Had it out of the sheath and headed to the downed deer. But put it back in the truck and opted for a 110.

Only 1000 made.

I just know it would make an excellent knife for my deer doins...

If I get my hands on a 803 I assure you it will be used on something. Plus, those came with a upgrade sheath and lanyard hole. DM

When I am not out 'wrathing' I will often carry a custom elk scaled small vantage, but only in town type settings. Not in woods. I do carry a elk scaled 309 if I am forced to not wear jeans and go somewhere "nice" by wife's definition. Nice to me is woods. I have been EDCing for several months a Ti s30v Mayo 171, it has the same feel in my hand and pocket as a small vantage. But cost al lot more and is now discontinued and clip is attached on front end. Blade shape is more upswept to the point than a Vantage. 300

I EDC a110 50 yr except when I am dressed up a little. Then I carry a 50yr custom 110, silver nickel bolsters, and ram horn sporting a s30v blade. I think that might qualify. Sometimes I carry a 50 yr 110 that doesn't have a shield on the handle or Buck on the blade - just a 50 yr anvil. A "plain jane" if you will"
