Anyone using a small grinder for knife making.

I do everything with my Kalamazoo 1x42. It's the only grinder I have.

Heres my first grinder a little 1x30 from h.f. did some immediate mods and outgrew it the following month, if your half serious anty up for a 2x72, theres a learning curve when you change machines, start where you'll end up. either way happy grinding!! GHaile

My first "grinder" was a 3X24" hand held sander intended to be used on wood. I would hold it in my lap and grind away. When the bearings burnt out I bought the Sears 2X42 grinder because I couldn't afford anything better.
