Anyone using their 0350 with the torsion bar taken out?

Just curious if this knife will function like a typical manual opener with the torsion bar taken out.

Yes. Mine is currently in but I change it up occasionally. It is just like any manual, and beautifully smooth action as well. The thumb studs are very easy to use without the torsion bar in it.

It would be wise to drill a detent divot within the detent ball track of the blade. That way it'll have a detent in the closed position.

I wonder if it's tricky to line up the hole with the detent ball?

Probably should use an awl and punch it out slightly, then go easy with a tiny drill-bit / dremel. Just follow the arc of rotation and make a divot at the end.

and mine has a detent in the closed position btw idk if they are all like that but mine is.

The 350 has a both a detent ball and the hole in the blade for it to keep it closed. Just disassemble, remove torsion bar and reassemble. No modifying necessary.
