I have a mess of Old Hickories that I bought for modifying. but anything works for me. I'm kicking around nozh's suggestion of sharpening a spoon

I would like to do something like this. I have always wondered what others consider hair splitting sharp. I would also like to send my knife sharpened and let the person use it and see how they think the edge holds up before putting their own edge on it.

I think it could be a fun way to learn a little about my edges and what others consider sharp.
