So did anyone get out and see the eclipse last week? I did a search, but didn't see any other mention of it. I would have loved to have been in the middle of the woods on a camping trip, but alas, I was in metro Atlanta with lots of light pollution.

I took some pics of the eclipse with my DSLR. Of course, I was in the dark taking pics, so I had to bring out my HID and shoot down moths with it and get some pics of that too.

Great pics! None of mine turned out.

I did predict clouds of bats and the sky god descending on us to show his anger, but none of that happened, so my tribe has banished me to the remote jungle.

Better luck in 2010, I guess.

Very nice pics! Yes, I watched the whole beautiful thing from the building I was working on.

I watched it! I didn't take any pics as I don't have a long enough lens to really do it justice, but I watched it through my 8.5x56 Monarchs...great eclipse! Beautiful red colour and you could really see the three-dimensionality of the moon I thought. I was very happy.

My girlfriend's dad called us to make sure we were watching it...he is an amateur astronomer and I bet he was up at his place in Northern Ontario with his big scope to watch it - now THAT would have been a view!

Thanks guys!

I was actually pretty bummed about the pics at first. I had let my photographer at work borrow my camera for product pictures for our site, and forgot to switch it off of the crappy jpg mode that it was in. Oops. :)

I'll have to remember to shoot in RAW in 2010.
