• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

I love the simplicity of it,and you get crazy sharp edge that bites.Tried some fabric cutting today with my polished edge and its not even close to edge of norton stone .For slicing type of cutting this edge rules!

Yup. I just got cut thinking about them edges...

I got Wayne Goddard's The Wonder of Knifemaking book (2nd edition) and the section on sharpening he uses a
Norton Medium Crystalon (silicon carbide) stone for roughing.

The finishing stone is Fine India (aluminum ceramic).

He used kerosene for the sharpening fluid for years but did an experiment a few years ago with Simple Green as has stuck with using it.
