Anyone wear a neck flashlight ?

Take your pick

Did you specifically choose the new grey one, or was that the only color available at the time ?

And is it just me, or does yours have a very warm LED ?
Mine is definitely a warm LED, but nowhere near as yours appears.

IIRC, when I ordered mine, grey was the only option at the time. I like it.

I think it looks a little warmer in that pic than it actually is, but it's definitely on the warm side.

I got a chickpea in the mail today along with some titanium quick disconnects. The tiny light is truly amazing. My wife couldn’t believe how bright and featherweight it is. The other gadgets I got from them are awesome as well!

I still think my first iteration has some merit, but I came up with a simpler setup that I can't believe I didn't think of first.

With the first setup here I basically made a seperate little barrel snap lanyard that while unintentional can be used separately from the neck lanyard, say on your keys or jacket zipper...etc.

For some reason that's the only way I could think of to attach the female half of the other barrel snap to the end of the neck lanyard at that time.

I thought about it yesterday and realized I could just cut it in half and fit that female half to both those ends , it was kind of a head slap moment.

the ends of the paracord are melted and flattened into a nail shape, a knot doesn't fit.

It's a cool idea but in practice anything like that around my neck is going to flop around and get snagged. Too awkward for me. I know because I used to have a few of those neck bottle storage things. Nightmare to actually carry.

Most of us at work wear out headlights around our necks. Keeping the light pointed down, instead of everywhere you look.

It is more comfortable plus it stops you from blinding your coworkers.

I like it. I'll have to try that. The adjustable elastic band should let you snug it up pretty close. I don't think you would want it too tight though because of your Adam's apple, so maybe it's not good for running or jogging because it would still flop around?

We don’t wear them snug. Same adjustment as on our heads. Puts it pretty low.

That's why you choose one that's small enough, and play with the length to get it just right.
This is something you can get used to pretty easily if you want to, it's just a matter of mindset and wanting to carry a small flashlight around your neck.

I am somebody who has worn necklaces my entire life though, so maybe it's different for me.

I don't like things dangling off my neck, either - no neck knives here - but the work ID is a necessary evil. My light is on a short lead, so I don't even notice it (I get annoyed by the ID, not the light); but it's easily accessible when I need it. I use it pretty much every night, usually multiple times.
Thinking about it now, I guess I do notice it because when it isn't there its absence is distracting (usually that's limited to charging periods).

Mine came in handy multiple times last night when I was trying to navigate my way to the bathroom on crutches and couldn't havee a light in my hand. 😉

You can get one of those battery powered round lights that you stick to walls and use it like Iron Man as a chest beam to light the dark. :p

In all seriousness, I have a pair of those big glow in the dark blocks from County Comm near the lights in the bathroom. They glow brightly enough after being charged from the lights for me to navigate the bathroom in the middle of the night.
