Hey guys,
I've been a lurker on this forum and an extremely rarer poster for a while now. Though I do not make many knives or am super into this hobby i still really enjoy fiddling around and gaining inspiration from the great work all you do.

The purpose of this post is to ask if anyone would like to harness test a 1084 blank from a batch of blades I made a few years ago. I am somewhat suspicious and a little curious of if the process I used at the time actually succeeded. I would be willing to mail you the blade as well as something for your time and the return mailing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It would be far faster and cheaper to drop by a machine shop and ask them to test it.

I would do it as well if you're going to mail it out however Nathan is slightly closer by a couple hundred miles. Take Stacys advice though and call machine shops. I got my tester by bringing one of my blades to one and he had an old one and sold it to me on the cheep and spent $60 getting the indicator cleaned and calibrated at a metrology lab and bought a certified test block for about another $70.
