Anything goes, part deux..... The stoopid continues.

Apparently if you want to give anything away in a specific forum and you have a political thought component attached to it the mods get cranky when you don't put it where they deem it should go. So much for trying to give away a thought provoking item to a specific group of people in a subforum of my choosing. How childish.

This is the anything goes thread right? frustrating how territorial people get for no reason...my giveaway has destroyed the balance of the board and has instigated an irreparable path of moral decay by not being in a politics forum. silly.

well. this isnt a life forum, this is a bladeforum, which has a political section, saying "post a time where you wanted to change you political stance" is quite political IMO, i wouldnt be too angry.

Not angry just have seen other political things allowed to stand. no worries. I am done doing giveaways. I was trying to give something away in a subforum I frequent in a way that was more interesting than pick a number.

yeah, i remember something about the politics of invasive species seasons in florida going on for pages over there... others, too, but that's one i posted in.

i like that giveaway idea. i've made a few changes in my politics over the past few years... i'm never voting for a lesser evil again.

CS, no offence, but what good is a political document if the powers at be don't follow it anyway? I personally believe our government should adhere to it 100% and not take it liberally or twist it in any way, so don't take me for a commie or anything, but... obviously our current government doesn't give two hoots about the Constitution.

what good is a document if the people it is meant to protect don't understand it? our own ignorance is the reason the people in control have been able to gain so much power. (on both sides)

the Constitution is a contract between States. the federal government is the result of that contract. they act like its inconsequential because if we forget its importance, we don't hold them to the standard that we should.

it's not our ignorance, it was planned from the beginning. We're taught from kindergardeners in public school systems to be reliant for everything from the start. I need this, I need that, I want you to do it for me. They may teach us about the constitution in history class, but not what it means, how it is supposed to be enforced and where we are going to go if we don't follow it. Or what any individual person can do about it nowadays anyway... if you speak out you're a radical standing on a streetcorner that gets 5 seconds of newstime. If you use physical force you're a domestic terrorist and are executed without rights or trial. You can do what you want but you won't make a difference, unless you count voting every four years... writing your congressmen only gets you an automated reply. Welcome to today's America.

As a educated (half way admitedly) youth in america, I am scared for my rights and freedoms, I dont trust the lot of crooked politicians to stand up for my best interests because this is america and the only people lobbying for me are mr Smith and sir isach Wesson

well kid, according to the patriot act that makes you a terrorist. congrats, you have no rights as a human, and that includes the right to a fair trial...

BTW- for those of you that didn't know.

Well that is one thing that worries me, gun control, health care, tool restrictions (because face it knives are TOOLS) these are all things that are slowly depriving us our freedom of speach, religion, want and fear the exact things that FDR spoke of in 1941..... America is on a downward slope and I can only hope that it may crash, burn, and begin rebuilding in my lifetime so that my children may live better than I, that said I will still pledge to the American flag and die defending it if need be, I am sick of being one of the "internet generation" and being told that I know nothing of respect, honor or self sacrifice.....
