Does anyone have any insight on these little buggers? They look really, really nice for the price. How's the steel used (file steel)? I might just pick one up because at $22 for the mini Skinner, if I don't like it I can set it aside or give it away. Thanks!

I don't have any, but I've read a number of positive comments for them as good users, and no negative ones.

IF you do an "advanced search" for threads titles containing the word Anza, you'll find a number of comments.

I have one and like it well. I haven't had an issue but I think they will be prone to rust if not taken care of a bit more than other current production knives.

Rust shouldn't be a problem for me. I EDC a stripped Izula and haven't had rust issues as of yet.

Anza Knives are awesome working blades. Charlie Davis, the owner and maker of the knives used to be the heat treat guy for Buck before Paul Bos, until he left to start Anza.

You will need to be more careful with corrosion prevention because these are made from files and still have some of the teeth's texture left on the blade. This creates more surface area and crannies for moisture to get into and rust.

Here's a recent Anza topic that I posted some pictures to. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...za-File-Knife-picture-Thoughts?highlight=anza

I think they'll grind the file ridges smooth if you want, or even design and make a knife to your specs. e-mail them for prices and options; their customer service and communication has always been excellent.

I have one, I'll post some pics later, I really like the knife for the price, the edge out of the box was pretty thick, but after some serious reprofiling it's a great little knife.
