AO v. Full Auto

I've carried a Leek for off and on for over twenty years and I've never cut myself. I do swap the clip into tip up carry so if it ever did manage to open then it's held by the side of my pocket instead of into my leg.

BUT...

This is also the absolutely last knife I would ever hand to anyone. I've seen enough people not expecting the AO to spring the knife open and then drop the knife because it flips out their hand. And yet with the same logic I wouldn't hand anyone not knowing ahead of time any auto single or double action OTF or OTS.

Heck, I plain old don't like handing anyone a knife, I'd rather ask what needs cutting. I know people I wouldn't hand my scissors over to them.
