Aphid 10350 Knife 1st Production

I just won a new in the box Benchmade Aphid 10350 Knife 1st Production , is this a decent knife for 28 bucks...I know its a red class spring assist ..also the handle material is Valox any info on that material ? .I humblely ask for guidence.


PS this knife is Made in the USA!!! at least that's one plus!

I handled one at my local store, it is a tiny little knife. it was difficult to open because of the size, even with the assist. However, the fit and finish were as high quality as comparable blue class knives, just lesser quality materials. They are all made in the US. Definitely worth what you paid.
 
Valox is a trade name for a family of thermoplastics with similar properties to those of Nylon (think FRN).

The Valox family was developed by GE, but has since been sold (along with most of the other GE developed polymers) to Sabic, a company based in Saudi Arabia.
 
They sounded a bit small to me (smaller than even the SOG Flash I.)
But I thought they looked great... at least until BM changed up the aesthetics at the last minute. :(
