Apocalypse scenario, which Emerson do you grab (just one)?

My CQC-45. The other thing I would grab though it is not a Emerson, My 20" blade (@30" OAL) Barry Dawson Millennium Sword. My 2 shiny Holy Grail blades.

Alright so which Emerson would you take with you if you were just magically thrown into an apocalypse type scenario? Could be zombies, could be natural disaster, could be war torn region under occupation, killer robots, or whatever you can imagine.

For me it would be the Super CQC-7 for reasons I've already stated some where on the net... Anyways my reasoning is I would need something I could use if need be to break into cars, or houses by ether cutting in or prying something open. The tanto tip, and flat right side would aid the knife in these tasks. I would also need a knife capable of cutting through things like metal sheeting, or thick cuts of rubber, something the 7 would also excel at. The knife would also have to be easy to sharpen in a pinch, which in my mind is what factored out the Commander. If I'm stuck out some where with very minimal supplies and my CQC-7 I could very easily find something to sharpen it on, cinder block, coffee mug, window maybe. I worry I wouldn't be able to find something to sharpen my Commander on as readily, although that's probably not true in reality. Irregardless the tanto shape of the CQC-7 is extreamly easy to sharpen. In a zombie type scenario the super CQC-7 would also make a good brainer I imagine haha.

Anyways what do you guys think?

I have only the standard serrated 7 and the Super7 as you do but I have no other Emerson to compare it to in cutting etc. Having said that, I would feel pretty good with it in my pocket in a bad scenario but I'd feel even better if I had myachete with me . ;-)

Has there ever been any talk of Ernie making a machete?! I can just imagine the ergos to something like that. That would be a SHTF type of blade. One can dream.

I only EDC Emersons, so at minimum I would have either the Journeyman, Iron Dragon, or a 13 on me. In my bug out bag I have my 15. If it could only be one, I'd go with the 15.

Well, of the ones I own, my horseman, I do have a commander and a jungle 7 in the mail, so maybe the 7, but I'm most familiar with the horseman. I've built fires with it, carved trap triggers, and sliced countless tomatoes(you know, normal apocalypse stuff)

Definitely a CQC-11. I have used one to pop a car door open a long time ago when the first run came out. Wished I had kept it. It was a good knife.

For me it would be the Super Commander. I think it is a well balanced blade in terms of doing anything you need it to do for survival

Strongest of the blades....Super 7.

After that a 15.

Third would be a Persian.
