Thanks for the responses folks. It is almost worth running a contest to see the quotes and genuinely humorous remarks.

Hey, Gary Graley. How are you doing? For those of you who don’t know Gary won the very first contest we ran here. If you don’t know Gary then go meet him. He is a super guy. The way he reacted when he won was a lot of fun for us. He was genuinely grateful and called a couple times to thanks us. The fact that Gary is such a great guy is a big part of the reason we are running this contest.

Gary also makes some truly awesome sheaths.

If I gave away a knife every time I said something I regretted I'd be outfitting the entire US armed forces by now.

Nonetheless, thanks for the opportunity.

Mr. Walz, it takes a big man to publically admit error, and it doesn't get much more public than this.

Also, thanks for posting the link to Gary's page. He occasionally posts to the HI forum, and I've always enjoyed his views and information.

I don't want to enter the contest (not for lack of appreciation of the knive), just wanted to support the gesture.

Thanks,
Joe

This contest sounds amazing. The prizes are awesome. I've been using stellite folders almost exclusively the past year. I carry 3 different ones at different times, all from Kit Carson. Stellite is an amazing material, and I will jump at any chance to get more of it. Thanks again for the contest.

If I win, the knife will be used as a "camp" knife. I Work in a wilderness education program with troubled youth, and plan on using this as our carving and utility knife. THe knives we use now see use for a variety of tasks, including fire building, tent repair, carving, and food prep.

I can be reached at ucobronc64@aol.com if I win. Thanks.

Count me in. Personally, while I thought your original comment was petty, I thought the followup apology adequately made up for it. This knife offer is way above and beyond the call of duty, and a very classy gesture.
