Appalachian Tactical aka WWWdotUSMilitarySurplusdotCom., is a BOGUS site.
Don't bother with them. No way to contact them.

:thumbdn:

Telling us what you're talking about would be a real step forward. I don't think anybody is going to put much effort into trying to guess what your problem with Appalachian Tactical might be.

Maybe they didn't want to trade???

I know I wrote I would'nt post in here again but with my change of attitude and respect from those that emailed me, I'll explain it.

I was looking for a particular item. I found it on their Web site. I ordered it and paid by CC. After several days I went back to the site and check and the the order was still processing. I emailed them... No response.
I waited a couple of days and emailed them again... No response.
I thought WTH, I'll give them a call and see what's-up.
Needless to say, the phone number is no longer in service.
So now, I wait and watch my CC statement, for any "unexpected charges."

Suggestion, explain everything, like you did, _first_.

Anyway why wait, call you CC and make sure they haven't processed or if they have reverse the charge.

Some sites are not as good at customer relations as others, hopefully this will all clear up with no hassles.

That's the stuff we need to see. Thanks for the heads up.

I would contact my credit card compnay and see if a charge has been put through. If so, apply for a chargeback. It only takes a few minutes.

Definitely doesn't sound good.

Note there are two phone numbers listed on that site: 828-297-7282, in a couple of places, which is disconnected, and, at the top of the page, 828-262-1449, which does not answer.

Here's what the site registration for usmilitarysurplus.com has to say, that might be of interest:

I would hazard a guess that the first number still being listed on the site is an oversight. As to why the second isn't answered: That's anybody's guess. But IIRC, didn't NC just recently get hit with some pretty serious storms?

Hope this helps.

Btw, Franklin, it's not necessary to munge web site address' like you did. It's only done for email address', to foil spammer automated email address harvesting software.

Ok, I tried the number and it just rings - no one picks up - no messages saying anything.

The phone also goes to vtwingear.com and officialacus.com.
The domain officialacus.com is registered to Margaret Blanks, P.O. Box 2096 Whiteville, North Carolina 28472, email: usms@boone.net, phone: (828) 268-0980. That phone number is "no longer in service".

RE: www.usmilitarysurplus.com in 2005 someone on this blog http://www.airsoftadvance.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1033 had a problem with an order from the web site and he found this info: Kenny S. Sebastian, 5616 Wrangler Way, Boomer, NC 28606, email: smediagroup@charter.net, phone: (828) 754-0631 AND: Dale Ward, 164 South Depot Street, Boone, email: sales@usmilitarysurplus.com.

Wilkes County property records (Boomer) lists Kenneth & Karen C. Sebastian at 117 Country Club Rd., Moravian Falls, N.C. 28654, phone: (336) 667-0776

165 Wilson Ridge Rd. is a house, not a business. The Watauga County Sheriff's Office (828-264-3761) CID is investigating other complaints on this "business". You might want to give them a call.

You're welcome

Well I was gonna offer to drive by on my way home from work, but I see someone has the sherriffs office involved, so I won't bother... Guess I could go take a picture of that house for you... I don't know this guy, and I've never heard of that company, but I am pretty sure I know where that address is...

I'm having a similar experience. Two months ago I ordered a knife from these people. Before I ordered I e-mailed them asking if the item was as described on their web site. I recieved an answer saying it was. A month later, after numerious phone calls to a answering machine and several emails I recieved an email saying they didn't have the item and would refund my money. That was a month ago and as of today, after numerious emails asking where my refund is, still no refund. I'd stay away from these guys.

I as well, made the mistake of ordering items from this company before I found all the negative postings. It has been 3 months since my order, the money was taken from my credit card, but they have not responded to about a dozen phone calls and emails. By the time i figured it out, it was too late for my bank to do anything to help me. I have been so enraged by the blatant ripoff I have considered driving up there from Florida just to kick some Appalachian ass. I have a serious thing about getting jacked, and like the rest of you, am well armed. If you order from them after reading these threads, your retarded, and might as well just give your money away to homeless people on the street, at least they will respond to you after taking it. Appalachian Tactical IS A SCAM SIGHT, NOTHING MORE. If anyone has any suggestions on how to retaliate legally let me know please.

Sorry to hear that, and that it's past the time your bank will help you out. Have you contacted the authorities though? The police should be involved, and if they promised to ship with USPS, they can be involved as well (mail fraud).
