It does...on the way down your pant leg or out of them. ☺️

(I've actually been on scene when someone shot himself in the groin area, not his pecker pe se, but he wasn't carrying appendix at the time.)

-Not going to lie, I think about that stuff when I'm tying my shoes...

I've never worried about it or come close...but I have installed striker control devices on my Glocks, since it was invented by a friend some years ago.

(Langdon Tactical took over manufacture from him a couple years ago. I don't know if he's still keeping up with demand for them.)

That said, been doing it since the 80's without incident.

(So far.)

Idk what that is, but Gaston came up with something pretty special.... I just have full, complete trigger guards covering everything.

Simple, and safe. It keeps everything out away from the trigger.

It protects one when reholstering. By applying pressure on the back plate, it keeps the trigger from being depressed. So, if you reholster (appendix), and something snagged inside the trigger guard...

...no kaboom.

Thanks for the responses. I am specifically asking for the pros and cons of Appendix carry. I will have a Glock 19 with light and red dot. I am 6’2” and skinny (cancer).
in my work and social, I can dress for the gun with no problems.
Your comments and suggestions are welcome!
Thank you,
Scott

I find that appendix carry is easily accessible in more situations than other carry methods. In my experience, the draw from the holster is quicker and it's easier to fully conceal a firearm.

I'm a big fan of the Tenicor Certum 3 holster.

Carnifax (and anyone with thoughts), Do you think printing will be an issue with me being real skinny? (I’ve got wasting disease from the cancer )
For all I know appendix might be easier for skinny people than people that are…not skinny😂.
Thoughts?

Thank you guys. Gonna change carry rigs after 25 years with S&W 3913 and Mitch Rosen leather.

I have been appendix carrying for over 30 years. I find the draw to be easier and faster. There is a shorter movement than the 3 o'clock position. The biggest downside for me is bending over. I do pocket carry my J-frame revolver usually. Try it out, just make sure the holster covers the trigger.

I think printing doesn't show.
Being skinny, is your chest larger than your waist?

Also, you will notice less weight of the firearm having it closer to your center line do to physics.
-guns feel Heavier on your hip.

As I said earlier, tying shoes is tricker
Get your shoes on good and tight at home Before loading up. Not out in public, if you can help it.
