Apple slicers

I haven’t tried it on an apple yet, but recently found a Case 4100 in my girlfriend’s dad’s collection. It’s effectively new. We use it as a letter opener. Hand for scale.

I also eat at least one apple everyday. I find the Mnandi excels at it but honestly I usually just bite into it…

I don't like apples. Haven't eaten one in decades. But I walked past the apples at the store and thought of this thread, so I went back and grabbed one .

Although this knife worked, and it has a thin blade, with a very fine, sharp edge, it still was not an ideal choice for apples. It's been so long since I cut one up I forgot how much resistance they can produce. Next time I would choose something as thin and narrow as possible. Maybe in a few more decades. Or not.

I dislike red apples even more than green ones .

If you’ve never tried one, get yourself a Honeycrisp. In my opinion, they’re the only apples worth messing with. Also—red delicious apples are disgusting and not meant for human consumption.

A stainless Opinel makes for a fantastic apple knife imo.

This. I have a stainless Opinel #8 in my lunchbag, and it sees daily fruit duty. It has a much thinner edge and very thin blade stock and will slice fruit much better than just about anything else mentioned in this thread.
