I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post here or not, but I trust Dex will do the right thing if I can't.

I think I've got the scoop on a new project from Ron & Ray Appleton, now how often do you hear about that?

I've known about this project for some time. Ron Appleton told me he was going to do a run of 25 knives all unique, but all with the same mechanism. Ron knew I was chomping on the bit for the release of the OutdoorEdge/Appleton "Cosmos", when that collaboration died he told me with this knife project they would be a fraction of what you would expect to pay for an Appleton Knife. I told Ron I would sell my soul for one of these knives, but if there are no takers I would have to pass. :(

He did however give me permission to share this Point 7 pic of two of the knives

Enjoy!

Thanks Phil.
I wonder how many goats this one is going to cost me. :)

Ray's knives do start at $10,000, but what we're talking about here is his son Ron's knives. The difference is that all of Ray's knives are unique including the mechanism. Ron wanted to produce a line of unique knives at a more affordable price. So what he did was to use the same mechanism and still make every knife different. The price of these 25 knives that Ron made start at $2,400. I'll admit it's beyond my price range, but I doubt I'll ever see an Appleton knife for less.
