Appreciation for the Advice, Recommendations, and Inspiration

Thanks for the info, r8shell. Since I first posted my question, I started another thread that had the same feature, and by using my Sherlockian deductive powers , I was able to conclude that only I could see the square because I created the thread. But I still didn't know the square's purpose until you kindly clued me in!

I came to this forum just about a year ago, after with some serendipity having found a beautiful Hella fixed blade while on vacation. After lurking around in other parts of this forum I wandered in to Traditionals. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much: after all, what's to like about old timers knives. Well, a lot as I quickly found out. And as you say, it's not just the unique qualities of our knives that's so alluring, it is also the people here. This one is really different than other forms of social media I had tried and found not to my liking. Perhaps my only regret is the unlikelihood of ever meeting most of you in person. (I suppose that's something common to all SM platforms.)

On to the kudos. (Feels a bit like the Academy Awards:D) First
, thanks to you GT. I, as do many others, look forward to your digests with much anticipation, unfailingly filled with positive, thoughtful comments. Thanks also to Jack & Chin for their assistance in choosing my first lambfoot Sheffield piece that I hope to soon present here. I appreciated Harry's @Old Engineer reaching out to me about attending this year's Badger Blade knife club show. Finally, special mention goes to Woodrow @Woodrow F Call on how to cook the best darn steak!
