I'm thinking of having the April Sale on Saturday the 25th. This sale will be strictly smaller sized knives, EDC, Bird and Trout, or pocket sized carry knives. What are your thoughts on this idea?

I think it's a fine idea, but then you know the types of patterns that I gravitate towards. :)

Jeff

If you're looking to move product or make some quicker sales, I think this is the way to go. Stick to your popular patterns also.

I've just got to figure which models. The Toby sells well, and the new Worker did well in the last sale.

Might the personal utility be a part of the sale too ? :)

Hope all is well with you folks John..

The Bluegill is another possibility, but I don't have patterns for the others.

While i don't typically prefer the smaller knives, i would be interested in a pocket nessmuk pattern. i know you have done several different ones (e.g. pocket muk). not sure what all the dimensions are. i would also be interested in seeing a scaled down Kephart style knife (3"-ish blade kinda deal with a kephart handle).

also, on a related note....have you ever played around with a JK "Sharpfinger" type pattern? would love to see what you do with that.

I love the idea of an edc/pocket carry heavy sale. To be honest, I have no idea why the Knecker didn't sell 2 sales ago, if I had the funds, I would have been all over it...

Some ideas I have been mulling over.
-3 finger pocket muk with a small indentation in the spine for the thumb? Scales would rest mid-palm and the thumb indent would second as a passive restraint for a pocket kydex sheath.
Keep in mind, since I haven't handled a pocket muk yet, this might be the exact size it sits around, if so I would love to know.
-Regarding the Knecker
Possibly a little more gradual of a sweep in the belly, more along the lines of a kwaiken, Becker bk5 type, but not as severe. It would help in the slicing capabilities of the little guy while keeping it plenty pocket friendly.

Ahh!
Pocket Scanduckie!
A Scanduckie on steroids?!

Rather built as a neck knife with a bottle opener as the "tail" with a kydex neck sheath.

I like the idea of a necker with a bottle opener butt. I actually drew up an (poor) idea for one suring KYenglish's Design contest.
I think it would be better with a straight back without the drop point. Notes on the drawing: 1) my son thought I was drawing a turtle, so I darkened the "eye", 2) I have no idea how to properly design a knife.

I would like to see a K-Tool and bare knecker together in a kydex sheath. I don't know if they could be stacked rather than side by side. I'm thinking urban edc so no real need for a firesteel. It wouldn't have to be a knecker it could be any pattern but it needs to be thin if you add a handle.

The knives for the sale will be:

Hiker`s Backup
Bluegill
Personal Utility
Drop Point Worker
Short Trail
Canadian Belt Knife Necker
Old Style EDC Kephart

So, we have the:
Fire Kit: ferro rod / knecker
Urban Survival Kit: ferro rod / knecker / K Tool
And?
Survival Kit: Knecker / K Tool?

3 versions of a one kit dependant on needs?

edit: now that I think about it, I believe Protourist had one in a leather sheath.
