I was wondering how an Aqua Salt would perform as an all-around fixed blade. I'm thinking of a PE version. Also, how far does the tang extend into the handle? If anyone has experience with it in outdoor or general use, any info is appreciated. It seems to me like it could be an ideal FB.
thanks,
Jim

Seriously, don't worry about tang strength. That puppy ain't breakin' even if you say please. :D

I have one I've been using as a general, all-around FB. It's fulfilled that role well for me. No problems at all with tang strength.

I have some FB knives now, but none I would use for all-around outdoor or general use. I had been thinking about some designs, but I'm glad I waited so long. The Aqua Salt sounds like it will be ideal for me.

I really like mine. I've been using it as a kitchen knife, but I can easily see it becoming my camping/backpacking knife.

I love my Aqua Salt. It's a great all-around fixed blade, one of my favorites. It cuts great, batons great, carves great- does everything well. It looks great, and has a nice sheath. I have the yellow PE version, and there is nothing about it that I would change. It has kicked my BRKT Bravo 1 out of my pack as my preferred all-rounder- because as awesome as a Bravo 1 is, if you look at it sideways, it's going to rust. At around half the price, the Aqua Salt is almost as good- and won't rust on you. The Aqua is also nice & light- no small consideration for a knife that gets carried a lot.
