Any word on when the Aqua Salts are going to be released, and whether they'll be available in Australia? I saw a picture of them on equipped.org the other day and they look brilliant.

I made it down to Golden, CO last month to see the Aqua Salts in person. Sal mentioned that they should be available in late September.

They are every bit of what one would expect from Spyderco, plus some. your description of "brilliant" almost sums up the Aqua Salt knives. Can't wait to get my hands on 'em.

Only problem I can see with them is that both my outdoor knives and my kitchen knives will be neglected shortly after their arrival.

Any idea what the blade thickness is? Also, what kind of prices are we looking at? Similar to the other salts or higher?

You and me both!

No word on the blade thickness but I can tell you that I wasn't floored by the MSRP that Sal mentioned. I won't pretend to be in-the-know and I won't run my mouth about my conversation with Sal but I will give you an idea in regards to the price.
MSRP will be less than $200US but more than $100US. Actual selling price is $Worth-Every-Cent (US).
