First off let me state that i have both and love'm although the AR is a constant companion of late. Well last night i was bored and was looking at my striders and noticed the AR is BG-42 and the BG is ATS-34, just wondering if they are all like that or what happened. Both of mine are from the first #ed 100. Keep up the great work guys, 7 plus the strider M2 surefire in my hands with more to come.

hey Tattoo,
I don't know about anyone else, I have two numbered GB s and they are both made from BG-42. I wouldn't worry though, both steels are TOUGH and covered by the best warranty in the business. But I see your point though, it is strange as I thought that all the first # 100 were of BG-42. Maybe you got one of those ultra rare friday afternoon models that will be worth a fortune.
good luck in your search.
chris

My GB was numbered, made of ATS-34, and had no Tiger Stripe. I thought that was a little different. Yet my AR is BG-42 with the stripe. I like it a lot.

I am not worried about the ATS just, wondering what happened that different steels got used in the run.

Okay, who wants to be the first to tell Mick he's lame face-to-face? I'll go first if you guys send me all your Striders.

Hey Mick, that's cool ! Have other Guiness on me. It is nice to have something a little different ! :D

OK, I will gladly sell my very rare GB with a bg42 blade misstamped ATS34 to the first person with $10,000. What no takers? I guess I will just have to keep it.
