Hi all.

Could someone please post a pic. of the liner-lock (engaged) on either one of the new S30V AR or GB folders?

I have heard that the locking liners are quite thick, but before buying one I'd like to see for myself (I am a sebenza fan, so I'm used to the CRK mono-lock).

I know the AR/GB is a bad-ass knife...do doubts here. I just want one final push to get me over the edge... :)

Thanks in advance!

Warrior,

I have both a numbered AR and the newer AR BG-42. If I get a change, i'll shot a photo or two for you tonight.

Chris,

The latest of BG-42 liners AR and GB:

The one on the right is a numbered hollow ground AR.

Next to a nickel to give you the sense of scale of liner thickness:

Nickel between liner and scale:

As you can see how much thicker the liner is compared to the nickel:

Hope this helps.

Oh man...seeing triple and haven't even started drinking yet!;)

interesting pictures. that nickel looks like a lock for the liner-lock. if they could design a piece to rotate over where the nickel is in the slot and the knife-holder had a full grip on the handle holding that piece(nickel) down then the liner-lock couldn't shift over and allow the blade to close in the folded position.

anyway beautiful pics AO

;)

Chris, it will be money well spent. I got mine through Joe Estrada. He really treated me right and is a great guy.

Hondo:

Check out the Lake and Walker LAWKS safety, as used on many CRKT pieces. It does what you suggested.
