I just recently received my AR #042 and noticed that it is difficult to open and also to release the liner-lock. I tried adjusting the pivot pin and the entire piece spun without changing tension on the blade. Does it just take time to break in or is this just how the folders are built?

Hi :) Reason the whole assembly, being the bolt and spanner nut, turns as one is because they secure it with lock-tite. Its not permenant or anything, I just took mine apart recently for cleaning. Yeah, my AR was a hair stiff when it first arrived, but broke in all by itself after about a week or so. The lock is a little on the stiff side, and has been since day one, but thats something I personally like and look for in a folder. I figure either I can have the lock loosened and put my fingers in danger, or just bare with it for a bit till my thumb gets a tough callus :D Hope that helps a little.....
