I just got an AR from Larry at Bladeart. I love the knife and it
has become my favorite folder. I have two questions.

1) What does it cost to have the large ambidexterous thumb studs installed?

2) I have become a big fan of the Bodycote coatings. I have sent in several of my Strider fixed blades to have them done. I was wondering if I could have my AR blade done. I mean is the knife easy to take down and reassemble or should I leave it alone. Will disassembly affect the warrenty?

I really love the knife. It is huge and locks up tight. Grinds are great. It has zero blade play. It was worth the wait.

Regarding the thumb studs: I inquired recently about having the dual studs added to my GB, and Monique at STRIDER quoted me a price of $20.00 for parts, labor and shipping. The knife needs to be returned to STRIDER for the installation, reason given was for "liability" purposes. I haven't done it yet because I don't know if I can be without my GB for for a week.

Kopjag...Kofpjagg...Kofpjaeg...

Dude. :D I know how you feel. I'm a lefty, so I didn't have my AR long before sending it in. The large thumb studs are very nice and I like them as I also open my knife right handed occasionally.

Luckily I have an SA that kept me company while waiting for my AR to return. ;)

Have the thumb studs installed, you will like it. Well worth the wait. They also sharpened it while they had it...I uh, have a cut on my finger to prove it. :p

Thanks Burke... I was just noting how closely our screen names resembled each other at a prima facia level. :)
